After a day of near misses yesterday, here we go again folks, i am heading south tomorrow so there will be no blog after today for a week, i will keep a day to day P/L and update when home although i suspect i will not be over indulging in bets next week.

Poor start and in behind horses, not good enough when asked to win £20 loss
2.30 Wayward Prince £30 5/2 BOG
Desperate run, for some reason he was always wide so ran an extra furlong and was hampered by the leader jumping to the right and made loads of jumping errors £30 loss.
3.05 French Opera £5 e/w 11/1 BOG
The desperate run continues with the Geraghty jinx still going strong £10 loss.
3.40 Mon Parrain £20 5/1 BOG
Would you believe it looked all over the winner, my day gets worse £20 loss.
4.15 Mossley £25 9/2 BOG
Awful run, stable looks badly out of sorts £25 loss
5.25 Tante Sissi £25 9/2 BOG
Convinced i am jinxed, another awful run. £25 loss
Aintree £130 loss
£200 gone west at other meetings, just watched a decent priced horse i was on early doors get well turned over at odds less than half i was on at. A week away starts tomorrow and it is needed after the hammering i have taken this week.

Its day one, i will post todays bet so far, there may be extra bets added later as well as bets for other meetings.

Money back so no harm done.
2.30 Grandouet £10 e/w 7/2 BOG
Why follow a weakening horse into a fence when loads of room? Looked the winner to me £20 loss.
3.05 Punchestowns £20 6/1 BOG
Geraghty jinx again, hopeless never jumped £20 loss
3.40 Turko £10 e/w 6/1 BOG, Mister Apples £5 e/w 14/1 BOG
Mister Apples scrapped a place, Sam SilverSpoon fell from Turko £5 loss
4.15 Tchico Polos £15 e/w 6/1 BOG
Never put in the race and disappointing ride i thought £30 loss
4.50 Medermit £40 2/1 BOG
Gave leader nice lead and never got close £40 loss

Awful day Patesse looked to be going ok till rider gave up, PT very poor £30 loss.

Two seconds a possible winner getting brought down and a fourth place and a few diabolical runs sum today up.
Three other bets today, one backed off the boards a pulled up over the sticks, two flat bets and both second the latter beaten by a total rag £95 loss.
Four seconds sum the day up, no more to add really!

Tiny Bit
Just seen my last bet go down in a three way photo, hence the late post.
Only a few bets today so a quick write up, first bet was on an even money shot who was hopeless, same as my second bet, two bets and two losers.
Another loser then two winners put me in front only for the last bet to go down after not getting the clearest of runs.
I have had a tenner on Torres as first goalscorer tonight.

Seconditis
Back from my trip to Pontefract with the feeling that bad luck is still hanging over me.
First race started with my horse playing games in the stalls and not even running, so money back as no time to place another bet, then a rare winner to put me back on track.
My biggest wager was in the next, a nice e/w and a seperate win bet, had it not been for a rule 4 deduction i would have broke even but incured a small loss on he race after leading everywhere but the line, the next race was the obligatory seventeen runner handicap with two non-runners so only three places where available, irrelevent as my picks where fifth and way back and just to make the drive home longer my last bet finished second beaten by an unfancied stablemate!
Three bets elsewhere, a/w bet was well beaten and the jumper fell in the paddock!! and an e/w in the bumper finished (can you guess?) fourth.
Another day without lady luck on my side, two seconds an e/w fourth, when one of them passing the post first would have produced a winning day.

Closer
Another day when the gods never smiled on me, only four bets but yet again a losing day.
The day started with a well backed e/w punt and right on cue finished one place off a return after a poor round of jumping, a well backed short price winner followed to get a bit back in my account.
A desperate run on the flat followed and my final bet was a nice priced e/w bet that cruised through he field hard held, jumped to the front at the last and found very little to come home third to get a place return for me.
Am off to Pontefract tomorrow so may not update till late.

Nearly
A nearly day today which started well and went sadly downhill and ended up as a losing day, how i still cannot believe.
Started well with my first three bets all winning and as all my bets where placed early doors i could sit back in the knowledge that any more winners would result in a profitable day, if only!
A disapointing run on the flat was followed by an e/w bet at nice odds which was second approaching the last and somehow got fourth place so no return. Another awful run by a horse backed off the boards this morning and the biggest disapointment being in a bumper where my bet finished like a Somalian with a dinner ticket after been given an awful ride and having to switch twice and go down in a photo finish!
The final bet was also well punted but was sadly found lacking to make this day another losing one.

Diabolical
Another exceptionally busy day today when i should of eased off the gas a bit.
Not one winner today three seconds a couple of thirds and some abysmal runs from fancied horses, too many bets to go through them all though, the biggest bet of the day being backed heavily early on then was weak before the race and was well beaten by his market rival after giving him a fair start.
Another decent bet went west when on paper it looked nailed on only to be well turned over by a horse it trounced last week, its a funny old game this you know.
I will be glad to say goodbye to this week, it has not been good. I will probably have a few days with fewer bets until the Aintree meeting when i will probably do a race by race update to the blog as with Cheltenham.
